Boil water notice issued for southern St. Johns County Advisory in effect for customers south of County Road 214 to Flagler County line No description found
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Utility Department issued a boil water notice Friday for customers south of County Road 214 to the St. Johns-Flagler County line.
The notice affects 37,000 customers, including those who live on Anastasia Island.
It will be in effect for two days.
The raw well source is being tested for E. coli, according to utility department spokesperson Tony Bubbedge.
Bubbedge said there was no detection in the distribution process, but because of a new rule, even though the water is being filtered before reaching customers, there has to be a boil water advisory.
