Police: 15-year-old shot in Northwest Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 15-year-old was shot Wednesday in Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said the victim, who has was shot in the arm, has non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was found on West 43rd Street, which is a dead-end road west of Moncrief Road.

Police said it's unclear where the victim was shot. The teen's name was not released.

Northwestern Middle School, which backs up to the road where the teen was found, was placed on lockdown as a precaution, but that has since been lifted, police said.
