According to the Sheriff's Office, Green went to the Walgreens on Palm Coast Parkway about 6 a.m. and made verbal threats, pointing a brown handgun at the pharmacist. He then ran off toward a nearby Ford car dealership with prescription painkillers, investigators said.

Two other people were in the drugstore, but no one was injured, deputies said.

Investigators then viewed the surveillance video to identify the suspect. Deputies said they then tracked Green to his home and arrested him just before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

"This was an impressive job by our deputies that resulted in the quick arrest of someone who might have injured someone had he not been caught," Flagler County Sheriff James Manfre said.

Green was booked into the Flagler County Jail.
