Police investigate deadly shooting in Arlington

Man shot in the stomach, died at the hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Saturday night in Arlington.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, 25-year-old Brian Demetrie Robinson was shot in the stomach around 9:30 p.m. on Hare Avenue, not far from Arlington Road and Atlantic Boulevard.

Paramedics rushed Robinson to UF Health Jacksonville, where he died. 

Police did not have any information on the shooter as of early Sunday. Investigators were canvassing the neighborhood hours after the shooting happened in hopes of turning up information that could help them find the gunman.

A neighbor told News4Jax she heard numerous gunshots before seeing first responders arrive at the scene.
