JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville City Councilman Kevin Carrico said he will not seek a third term as he prepares to focus full-time on Alignment Global Partners, an advisory firm he launched with his wife, Daysi Jacobson Carrico.
Carrico also recently stepped down as vice president of strategic initiatives for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida after more than 10 years with the organization. In a statement to News4JAX, Carrico said he was proud of the organization’s work and looked forward to starting his next chapter.

“I will complete my current term on the Jacksonville City Council, but I will not seek a third term,” Carrico said in a news release. “After my term, I plan to devote my full professional focus to building Alignment Global Partners and serving our clients.”
The release said the Jacksonville-based firm builds on the founders’ established practice in Ponte Vedra Beach and serves business owners and nonprofit leaders. Its services combine U.S. tax expertise, executive leadership and business strategy.
The firm plans to open an office in downtown Jacksonville and expand internationally, beginning with Madrid in 2026. An opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony are being planned, with details to be announced later.
Jacobson Carrico is the firm’s co-founder and CEO. She has more than 20 years of accounting and tax experience, including 10 years with the IRS across multiple divisions as a revenue agent. She previously built and led Daysi Jacobson Accounting LLC.
Carrico is the firm’s co-founder and president. He has more than 20 years of experience in executive leadership, elected public service, nonprofit operations, strategic planning, government relations and fundraising.
Carrico also was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Madrid-based World Law Foundation.

She said the firm aims to bring its experience and strengths to partnerships that provide clarity and confidence.
“We are passionate about what becomes possible when people with complementary strengths come together with intention,” Jacobson Carrico said. She said the name Alignment reflects the firm’s mission of bringing people, purpose and strategy together.
