Man steals 44 pairs of glasses from LensCrafters, police say

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Police are searching for a man seen on surveillance video stealing 44 pairs of glasses from displays in a LensCrafters store at Third Street South on Feb. 23.

Police said the man entered the business around 5 p.m., walked around like he was shopping and then left without speaking to anyone, which caused employees to become suspicious.

Employees then watched the surveillance video, which showed the man putting the glasses into his pockets and then leaving in a black two-door sedan, possibly a Lexus or Infiniti.

The man is described as black, and was wearing a black Nike T-shirt and khaki cargo shorts.
