Man shoots, kills wife in argument over TV, deputies say Booking photo of Eddie Steele
MELROSE, Fla. – A 68-year-old Putnam County man has been charged with shooting and killing his wife during an argument over watching TV, the sheriff's office said.
Eddie Henry Steele has been charged with murder and booked into the Putnam County Jail.
According to deputies, Steele shot his wife, Barbara Brown Steele, 70, in the abdomen Saturday afternoon at their home on Country Living Circle in Melrose.
She was taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville where she died.
