JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The mother of a 14-year-old Lakeshore girl who had received freighting messages from her daughter Sunday night was found safe Monday morning.
Candace Williamson's mother, Jennifer Adair, heard from another mother that Candace was on the bus, headed to school.

"The detectives have her. Hopefully, they'll be bringing her home soon," Adair said. "With those messages that she sent to me, she could possibly dealing with another situation."
Adair said she doesn't know where her daughter spent the night, but she had sent frightening text messages that she had been picked up by three men and was in a zipped bag.
"This is not a joke. This is not funny at all," Adair said. "That was scary enough. I can imagine that if that really happened to somebody."
On Sunday around 2:15 p.m., Candace left her home on Shirley Avenue to go to Lakeshore Park (also known as Criswell Park). Upon leaving, she said she would be back home by 7:30 p.m. but failed to do so, police said.
Adair said that she last heard from Candace at 11:36 p.m.
"She said, Mom, my phone is about to die. Where are the cops? Mom, I love you, please help me.' That was after 11 p.m," Adair said. "Officers kept telling me, 'Keep talking to her, keep texting her,' and I did. 'Try to get her to answer you,' and I did, and no answer."
Adair said that Candace is on medication for multiple mental health conditions and that she has run away before, but nothing this extreme.
Adair said Candace would be grounded when she gets home and only be allowed out of the house to go to school. She is also going to talk to her doctors about her behavior and if she needs a change in medication or other intervention.
