Man dies in double shooting in Northwest Jacksonville, police say

1 victim in Friday's double shooting dies Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One of the men who was shot and injured Friday night in Northwest Jacksonville died Saturday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Officers responded just before 9 p.m. to reports of gunshots on West Sixth Street near Myrtle Avenue.

Police said they found two men who had been shot multiple times.

The men were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Police said one of the men, identified by JSO as Telvin Kennedy, 24, died Saturday.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
