JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you've always wanted to order something from Amazon and get it delivered the same day, you'll be happy to hear that your wish has come true.
Starting Wednesday, Amazon Prime members who live in greater Jacksonville can now order one of thousands of items and get it the same day.
Say you lose or break your phone charger and you don't have time to go to the store. A few clicks on Amazon and it can show up at your door in hours.

News4Jax tested the service to see if it works. First know the Amazon rules:
- First, you have to be an Amazon Prime member.
- Second, you must order before noon to receive anything by 9 p.m. the same day. Orders placed in the afternoon or evening will arrive the next day.
- Third, you must spend at least $35 to be eligible for same-day delivery.
- Fourth, not every item on the website can be delivered the same day. Amazon says more than 1 million items, including electronics, toys, games and home repair tools are available.
Finding available items is easiest if you filter search results using the "Free One-Day" option. But pay attention if you are searching for bulk items or clothing that offer different sizes. You may find it may show up as one-day at first. When you select your size or amount, the delivery options may change.
News4Jax tested the system by ordering a few items: phone chargers, adapters, toothpaste and floss. The same-day delivery option wouldn't work for the station address even though it was in the same-day delivery area. It did work for a home address in the delivery zone.
The order was completed just before the noon deadline. This story will be updated when the package arrives.
The same-day delivery service is offered seven days a week. Amazon said it uses a variety of carriers, including its own Amazon Flex delivery service, to make these deliveries.
