Jacksonville woman missing for day found in St. Johns County

Silver alert canceled after 68-year-old found safe

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 68-year-old woman reported missing after leaving her Jacksonville home Wednesday morning to run errands and didn't return by evening was found safe Tuesday in St. Johns County, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police issued a SIlver Alert asking for help locating Minh Tam Swanner. The family was concerned because Swanner has a history of memory issues and medical issues that require continual monitoring and is insulin dependent.

Her 2016 silver Toyota Scion was seen in southern St. Johns County around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. No information was released on where Swanner was found Thursday morning or where she spent the night.
