Bandits took off with $3K, purses, remote door switch, Jacksonville police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman and two men are being sought by police after an armed robbery Monday afternoon at the Pot Of Gold Arcade on the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said the robbers forced customers and employees to the ground, held them at gunpoint at the location on Cassat Avenue just south of Interstate 10 and then took off with personal belongings and money.

According to a police report, the bandits were playing games inside the internet cafe, went out and then came back in with guns. Police said they got  $3,000 from the register and the safe, and they also took customers’ purses and the remote door switch from one of the employees. The purses were found abandoned in a nearby parking lot. Missing from one of the purses was a set of dentures, worth $1,500, the police report stated.

The woman who took part in the robbery was overhead telling people that she already had a warrant out for her arrest, according to the police report.

The men and woman took off and were not arrested, the Sheriff's Office said.

No injuries were reported, police said.
