Reports: Antonio Dennard, former NFL player who was once with Jaguars, dies in shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Antonio Dennard, a former NFL player who spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants and Green Bay Packers, was shot and killed over the weekend outside a bar in Pennsylvania, multiple news outlets reported Monday.

According to WFMZ, which cited information from the county coroner’s office, Dennard, 32, died at a hospital early Sunday morning after the shooting at Legends bar just outside of Reading.

As written by Jaguars Wire, Dennard was signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent at the end of the 2012 draft and he was added to the practice squad at the end of training camp. He then went to the Giants and later to the Packers practice squad before joining the Arena Football League.

Dennard’s death was ruled a homicide.
