PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – Several cruise ship passengers disembarking at Port Canaveral found their vacations cut short after Brevard County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested them on outstanding warrants, according to Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

The first two passengers taken into custody were Martell Murray, of Georgia and his cabinmate from Leon County, Florida.
Murray was wanted on a warrant for violation of his release conditions related to a murder charge. The Leon County passenger was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.
Two more passengers were arrested as they left their cruise ship. A Tampa woman was taken into custody on a Failure to Appear warrant, and a South Carolina man was arrested on a Violation of Probation warrant.
Sheriff’s warning
Sheriff Wayne Ivey issued a warning to anyone traveling through Brevard County with an outstanding warrant.
“Whether you’re from Florida or Alaska, if you come to Brevard County and break the law…or in this case have a warrant…you better believe that we will lock you up,” Ivey said.
