JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The wife of a missing Jacksonville man told News4JAX, Sunday evening, that her husband has been found.

She did not elaborate where Calvin Lincomfelt, 44, was found but said he was in the hospital and thanked the public for the assistance searching for her husband.

Ormond Beach police said Lincomfelt was last seen Monday at a McDonald's off I-95 in Ormond Beach. His family and friends spent this week handing out flyers across Florida and surrounding states.

According to the police report, Lincomfelt said that he was driving and passed a hospital an checked himself in for evaluation. The reason Lincomfelt gave for why he felt he had to be evaluated was redacted from the report.

While at the hospital, medical staff Googled Lincomfelt and found news coverage of Lincomfelt's mysterious disappearance.

Family, friends, even strangers spent all morning looking for any signs of the missing husband and father of two, whether it be his truck or his cellphone.

More than 20 people came together in prayer before heading out on the search for Lincomfelt.

River City Search and Rescue assigned the volunteers to different areas within an 18 square-mile grid. In all, crews covered almost two square miles during Saturday’s search.

Some volunteers were on foot, while others were on all-terrain vehicles.

“We push people out with the expectation that they are going to find something,” River City Search and Rescue coordinator Steve Smith said. "In reality, a lot of times they don't find anything and that in itself is a clue to a search manager, such as myself, because it rules out that that area as viable.”

His family coming together during a week that’s been tough for everyone, especially his mother. Lincomfelt’s son, Chasten Lincomfelt, said he is praying for clues.

“She's taking it hard,” Lincomfelt’s son said. “That's the only person she's known for the last 21 years, so they are all there for her.”

Saturday’s search grid was based on the last ping from Lincomfelt’s cellphone on Monday, which was less than 2 miles away from his home.
