Death on Timuquana Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are looking for three men who may be involved in a deadly shooting on the Westside.

A neighbor called police after hearing several gunshots, and responding officers found Anderson's body in the yard of a house that is under construction.

Farhat said surveillance video showed three men inside a 4-door sedan near the scene.

Bill Betts frequently takes walks through the neighborhood and said he's seen the neighborhood change.

"Every neighborhood I've been to, something like this happened -- except for my neighborhood, that has all stopped," Betts said. "Police have been patrolling it more. When you get to fooling with drugs, women -- people just don't care nowadays."

Detectives are searching the area for the gunman. The investigation is in the area off Timuquana Road, not far from the Ortega River.
