Georgia reports 1,650+ new COVID-19 cases, 60 more deaths

The Georgia Department of Public Health on Sunday reported 60 additional deaths related to COVID-19, including two in Glynn County.

As of Sunday, Georgia’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths reached 6,037.

The state Department of Public Health on Sunday reported an additional 1,664 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of those, 39 were reported in the last 24 hours in the six counties that News4Jax tracks in Southeast Georgia.

As of Sunday, a total of 283,199 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the state Department of Public Health, nearly 2.48 million tests had been performed in the state, which had a 10.4% positivity rate, as of Sunday.

On Sunday, an additional 22 hospitalizations were reported.
