BRUNSWICK, Ga. – An officer with the Brunswick Police Department was arrested Monday following a domestic disturbance investigation, the agency announced.
Police said around 7:30 p.m., the Glynn County Police Department was dispatched to a home on Red Oak Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Through their investigation, officers discovered that one of the people involved was a Brunswick police officer, Andrea Williams. Williams was arrested by Glynn County Police and accused of criminal trespass in a family violence altercation.
The details of the arrest were not immediately clear.
Officer Williams was placed on administrative leave pending further investigation, Brunswick Police said.
“Brunswick Police Department is committed to serving with integrity and accountability. Public safety will always be our priority,” Brunswick Police Chief Angela Smith said.
