CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A 21-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon after his sedan collided with a pickup at the intersection of State Road 16 and State Road 21, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At about 2:20 p.m., authorities said a pickup traveling west on State Road 16 attempted to make a left turn onto southbound State Road 21 and entered the path of an eastbound sedan.

The front of the sedan struck the passenger-side corner of the pickup’s front bumper. The sedan began to overturn and the pickup rotated violently, the agency said.
The sedan’s driver was transported to a local hospital, where he died, FHP said. A 68-year-old man driving the pickup and a 67-year-old female passenger, both of Green Cove Springs, suffered minor injuries.
