BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A Boeing 727 passenger jet previously owned by Jeffrey Epstein has been sitting for years, decaying in a scrapyard at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport in Glynn County, and News4JAX was granted permission to tour the plane on Monday.

According to the Epstein files released by the Department of Justice, powerful and well-known people like former President Bill Clinton and now former Prince Andrew Windsor traveled with Epstein on the plane. And according to court documents and testimony, many of Epstein’s sexual assault victims also rode on the same aircraft.

N908JE is the tail number registered to the jetliner, which was once opulent. The J E stands for Jeffrey Epstein. But a decade of sitting in a scrapyard has not been kind to the aircraft.

Mold and rust dominate one side of the roof of the plane that doesn’t receive direct sunlight. Parts of the wings are chipping away. Inside, there is a light musty smell throughout the entire aircraft.

The queen-size bed in the back of the plane has drawers under the mattress filled with linen. A bathroom at the back of the plane has items sitting on the sink that have been in the same place since the plane arrived in 2016. There’s also a shower in that bathroom.

There was an office space with a desk separated by a plush velvet seat. That section of the plane was mentioned in the Epstein files, along with a picture showing Epstein showing Clinton sitting in one of the seats with an unidentified woman next to him. Another picture in the files showed Epstein sitting in the seat on the other side of the same table.

The cockpit was fairly large with seating to accommodate multiple crew members. Behind the cockpit were two sections of the plane that feature an abundance of couches and tables for entertainment. There was also a food galley.

According to the Epstein report, very powerful, well-known people traveled with Epstein all over the world. The report also states that many of Epstein’s victims were also ferried on the same aircraft.

On Friday, following a closed-door testimony to Congress about his relationship with Epstein, Clinton released a video statement in which he said in part, “I know what I saw and more importantly, what I didn’t see, and I know what I did and more importantly what I didn’t do. I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong.”

According to records, shortly before Epstein was arrested on federal sex crime charges and later died by suicide, he sold the aircraft. At some point, this aircraft will be totally ripped apart.

According to Flight Aware data, Monday, July 11, 2016, was the last time Jeffrey Epstein’s former plane was flown.

It traveled from Palm Beach International Airport to Brunswick Golden Isle Airport. It’s been sitting there all this time collecting dust, rust and mold.

The engines were also removed shortly after it arrived.
