Woman dies after collision with sedan on Pritchard Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman in her 40s died Monday after veering off the road and hitting another vehicle on Jacksonville’s westside.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, just before 5 p.m., the woman was driving a pickup truck east on Pritchard Road when, for unknown reasons, she began to veer to the right, overcorrected and crashed into a sedan with two passengers inside.
The impact sent the pickup into the median, causing it to strike a large tree.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she died. No one else was injured.
