A statement from the Putnam school board says "The safety and well-being of our students is the no.1 priority of the Putnam County School District. At this time, district guidelines are being followed while this incident is being investigated."

Johnson's Facebook page shows she started working as a teacher in November. That would put her in the district's probationary period.
