3-year-old drowns in pool in Yulee

YULEE, Fla. – Nassau County Sheriff’s Office said deputies called to a home in Yulee on Thursday morning found a monther giving a 3-year-old girl CPR. Deputies, then Nassau County Fire-Rescue took over while the child was taken to UF Health North, but she could not be revived.

According to the report, the mother found the girl floating in the pool of their home on Plummer’s Creek Drive before 9 a.m., brought her inside and began CPR.

The child’s name was not given. The case was turned over to two Nassau County detectives, but no foul play was suspected.
