OAKLEAF, Fla. – An Eagle Landing home was heavily damaged overnight by a fire that started with hot fireworks left in a trash can, firefighters said.
According to Clay County Fire Rescue, four people were in the home when it caught fire, but everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.

The home was on Club lake Drive in the Oakleaf area.
According to Fire Rescue, firefighters determined the cause of the fire was hot fireworks that were left in a garage trash can.
The family is working with the Red Cross for temporary housing.
