JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A new map has now been set for the 120 districts in the Florida House.
House members approved the new map in early February, which was then agreed on by the Florida Senate, along with the state Senate maps.
In Florida, state legislative maps do not require the governor’s signature to take effect. They are reviewed by the Florida Supreme Court, which upheld the maps on March 3.
The maps are now in place for qualifying for state legislative seats in June, before the primary election on August 23 and the general election on November 8.
