Jacksonville police searching for suspect in Eastside shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching for an unknown suspect who shot a man in the hand Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to the scene on Franklin Street around 3:45 p.m. A 21-year-old man was inside the lobby at an apartment complex when an unknown male suspect entered the building and shot the victim. The victim was transported by Jacksonville Fire & Rescue and is in stable condition.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction. Police described him as a black male between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5′9″ tall with a medium build, and wearing all black clothing with a ski mask at the time of the incident.
