Firefighters extinguish fire at building on Blount Island

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department were called Thursday evening to extinguish a fire at a building on Blount Island.

JFRD confirmed the fire was a “two-alarm,” which means additional crews were needed. Specifics were not immediately provided.

After about 45 minutes, JFRD said the fire had been brought under control.
