Food Nirvana: Jimmy Hula’s opens in St. Augustine

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Jimmy Hula’s, a fast-casual dining restaurant serving fish tacos, burgers and beer, held its grand opening in St. Augustine on Thursday.

This is the first Jimmy Hula’s location in St. Johns County.

If you like to shop local, you’re going to love this. Jimmy Hula’s offers several hand-crafted, locals-only menu items, including the Taco De Leon, the Double Barrel Bowl, and the Rasta Jerk Chicken Sandwich.

On top of the delicious foods and drinks -- the inside is a total vibe.

The new St. Augustine location features an inside bar built with wood from the Castillo de San Marcos Fort, rattan lamps that hang over the bar, and a large outdoor patio space on the water overlooking the downtown marina and Flagler College, according to a release.

“St. Augustine is my home and I’m excited to bring our food nirvana to the community,” said Charles Bernard, Co-Owner of Jimmy Hula’s St. Augustine. “In an area rich with history, it’s important for us bring the traditions of Jimmy Hula’s to the city, while also remaining authentic to the traditions of St. Augustine.”
