JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A judge on Thursday sentenced a former Duval County teacher to five years and 10 months in prison for possessing images and videos depicting sexual abuse of children, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

Additionally, the court ordered Michael Paul Gillis, 65, to serve a 10-year term of supervised release, register as a sex offender and forfeit his computer media, the DOJ said. He had pleaded guilty to charges on April 27 after being arrested at his Westside home by FBI agents in February.
