Pedestrian dead after hit-and-run crash on I-95

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 44-year-old man is dead after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Interstate 95 South at Lem Turner on Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The suspect vehicle was last seen headed southbound on I-95 from Lem Turner, according to FHP.
The pedestrian died at the scene. It’s unclear if the man was walking or had gotten out of a vehicle on the highway.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has video is encouraged to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
