Elderly woman raises concerns about neighbor’s dogs after almost being attacked

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 78-year-old woman is raising concerns about her neighbor’s pit bulls after she said one of the dogs jumped over her fence and tried to bite her in Northwest Jacksonville.

Reba Ridlon said she witnessed the dogs running out of the gate, trying to attack people who walk by.

She has also witnessed multiple people being bitten by dogs.

A few days ago, one of the dogs jumped over her fence and tried to attack her.

“I was beating the dog trying to make it get back over the fence. Every time it came at me, I hit it. Two people come running down the road because they heard me hollering at the dog. They came up with something and was throwing it at the dog and the dog jumped back over and took off,” she said.

The neighbor with the dogs declined to comment on the matter.

Ridlon said she would like the neighbor to fix the fence so no one else will get hurt.
