FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – A 34-year-old was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash at County Road 220 and Lakeshore Drive in Fleming Island.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old woman from Fleming Island was heading south in her sedan on Lakeshore Drive West around 3:45 p.m. when she turned left in front of a pick-up truck that was headed west on CR-220.

The right front of the sedan hit the right rear of the truck, and the 34-year-old pick-up driver from Orange Park was killed in the collision.
The woman in the car was not injured. The report said she was wearing a seat belt.
The gender of the pick-up driver was not listed, and the report said it was not known if they were wearing a seat belt.
All westbound lanes of CR-220 were closed during the investigation but have since reopened.
FHP said charges are pending in the investigation.
