Local foundation working to open more doors for young adults aging out of foster care

Pillars Plus Foundation will host a fundraising gala that will support their project called “Mother’s House.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local foundation is working to give more opportunities to young adults aging out of the foster care system that will help set them up for success.

On Saturday evening, the Pillars Plus Foundation will be hosting its fundraising gala “Under the Stars” which will support their project called “Mother’s House.”

According to their website, Mother’s House will provide affordable housing and educational opportunities for young adults ages 18 to 25, and it will prioritize those who are leaving the foster care system.

This development will provide its residents with opportunities to serve in the community and workforce experience — giving them many tools to set them up for success.

Saturday’s fundraising will include live music, a silent auction, and other special guests.
