JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after she was shot while sitting in a car in Northwest Jacksonville Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the woman, who is in her late 20s, was sitting in a parked car at Yancey Park when someone drove by and started shooting multiple times.

According to JSO, the suspect shot at the car “unprovoked.”
The woman sustained two gunshot wounds. A man who was in the car with her did not get struck, police said.
At this time, police have no motive or suspect information.
