After a long delay, Haynes gave the crowd a thumbs-up sign as he was taken away.
He was taken to a hospital for further testing and did not fly home with the team. Haynes was transported to Baptist Medical Center and stayed overnight for testing.
The Panthers said he was released Monday afternoon and returned to North Carolina with a member of the Panthers’ athletic training staff.
He remains in the concussion protocol.
