Tip leads Jacksonville police to find body buried under trash at Valencia Way Apartments
Body found behind building at Valencia Way Apartments (WJXT)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The body of a man was discovered Tuesday morning dumped in a junk pile near a fence at the Valencia Way Apartments after police received a tip.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the man, believed to be between 25 to 30 years old, was found buried underneath trash behind building 26 on Hollycrest Drive.
The medical examiner’s office determined the man was shot multiple times. During the investigation, police learned that the man was shot in a vacant apartment near where he was buried.
JSO identified the man found as 27-year-old Nathaniel Barnard.
Police do not have suspect information as it is early in the investigation.
