A Jacksonville man is dead after shooting in San Marco area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man is dead after a shooting on Sunday around 1:30 a.m. on River Road in the San Marco area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office .
Officers said when they arrived, they found a man who was shot, and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took the man to the hospital where he later died.
Investigators said there was a large group outside of a house, but then a fight broke out where someone pulled out a gun and shot the man.
Police said several people have been detained for interviews and JSO is canvassing the area for video and other evidence.
