53-year-old man dies after crashing into ditch in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A 53-year-old man from Palatka died Saturday morning after crashing into a ditch in Clay County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the man was traveling west on Warner Road, a couple of miles west of US 17, when his SUV left the roadway and “became stuck” in a ditch.
According to FHP, a passing motorist stopped to help the driver and discovered he was not responsive.
JFRD pronounced the driver dead on the scene.
