46-year-old man arrested, accused in 2023 Argyle murder: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 46-year-old man has been arrested and accused of murder following a 2023 shooting in Argyle, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

On Oct. 10, 2023, JSO said it responded to reports of a person shot in the 8500 block of Argyle Business Loop. Upon officers’ arrival, an adult male was located suffering from a gunshot wound. Personnel with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department also responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

JSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene Units responded to conduct their respective investigations. Their detective work led them to the identification of the suspect, Travise L. Johnson. On Friday, based on evidence and interviews conducted, officers were able to arrest Johnson and he now faces second-degree murder charges.
