Employees were left without a paycheck and members called the situation “bizarre.”

The private beach club’s owner, Molly Butler, admitted to financial issues and said she was a victim of a crime while they were attempting to refinance.

In an email sent to members Wednesday night, Butler wrote that some new changes are coming including new furniture and other amenities.

To maintain their membership, members are asked to pay their club dues by the end of February.

The beach club is still at the center of a foreclosure lawsuit with a hearing set for Feb. 26.
