JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville woman was critically injured after a car struck her while crossing the street on Blanding Boulevard early Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said a 24-year-old man was driving northbound on Blanding Boulevard approaching the intersection with Youngerman Circle when he hit the 45-year-old woman who was crossing the intersection in the crosswalk.

According to FHP, the driver had a green light.
The woman was transported to a local hospital.
