At the same time, a white Nissan Altima was traveling directly to the left of the Accord.

Troopers said the cars collided after failing to negotiate the curve.

Following the crash, the Accord left the road to the right and struck the guardrail barrier. Then, the car went down the embankment and overturned until it finally stopped. The Accord then caught fire with the driver still inside, FHP said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and is yet to be identified.

The driver of the Altima, a 30-year-old man from Jacksonville, veered left after the crash, crossed the express lanes, and entered the median where it overturned until coming to a stop on its right side.

According to the report, the 30-year-old driver suffered minor injuries following the crash.
