Man shot in head, stomach while sitting inside parked car in Englewood neighborhood; suspect caught: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man in his 40s was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries following a Thursday afternoon shooting in the Englewood neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said the man was sitting in a parked car on Barnhill Drive around 4 p.m. when someone walked up to the car and fired several times.
The man was struck in the head and the stomach, police said, and the suspect ran off. The unidentified suspect was later captured nearby.
