JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office released a photo Monday of a vehicle that’s believed to be in connection with the deadly shooting of a 6-year-old, who was sleeping in bed in September.
Police responded to the incident on Sept. 27 and found a man and two children with gunshot wounds at the Hollybrook Homes Apartments in the Lackawanna neighborhood. Sheriff T.K. Waters said the children were asleep in their beds when a single bullet hit them both, killing one and injuring the other.
JSO said the vehicle, which appears to be a blue Hyundai Sonata, was seen speeding away from the area.
The man and the 12-year-old suffered non life-threatening injuries.
If you have information that could help with this case, please call JSO at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS to remain anonymous. There is also a $3,000 reward being offered for answers.
