St. Johns County shooting ends in crash on SR-206 after deputy pursuit

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Five people are in custody after a shooting incident led to a deputy pursuit in St. Johns County on Friday.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office did not provide the location where the shooting took place but said the suspects involved left the scene, prompting a chase.

The suspects crashed into another car at State Road 206 and County Road 305. St. Johns Fire Rescue said four people were taken to the hospital; one is in critical condition.

K9 units and the SJCO Aviation Unit assisted in the search as well.
