The Atlantic sea breeze is pushing isolated showers and thunderstorms inland.
The afternoon sea breeze march is on as showers and thunderstorms develop near and along the River. Isolated showers with thunderstorms are moving west at around 10 to 15 mph across inland St. Johns County and west of the River in Clay and Putnam counties. These will continue to progress inland with showers and storms, some locally heavy along Highway 301 and I-75 later tonight.
The first round will weaken after sunset with the stragglers lingering through 11 p.m.
Tonight: Isolated showers with thunderstorms through around 11 p.m.
Saturday: Partly cloudy skies with scattered showers, thunderstorms. Rain chances for SE GA, 30-60 percent; NE FL 40-60 percent. Lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s and low 90s. Wind: SSW 5-15 mph. Showers with storms will be possible through 11 p.m.
Sunday: Increasing rain chances with locally heavy rainfall possible. Rain chances 50-80 percent. The best chance for locally heavy rain will be along and west of I-75 in northeast Florida. Temperatures will trend near seasonal, with lows in the 70s and afternoon highs in the 80s to low 90s. Wind SW 5-10 mph.
