Tell Us: What do you think the punishment should be for the Florida boaters who dumped trash into the ocean?

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating an incident involving a group of boaters that was seen dumping trash into the ocean in South Florida over the weekend, according to WPLG.

The incident was captured on a video taken by Wavy Boats, posted on YouTube and Instagram, and it shows two boaters throwing two garbage cans full of trash into the ocean during the annual Boca Bash in Boca Raton. After they dump the trash, the boaters appear to celebrate.

According to WPLG, the FWC spokesperson Arielle Callender said Tuesday that “several subjects have been identified” and that the agency’s investigators “are working closely with the State Attorney’s Office to identify appropriate charges for this incident.”
