BAY LAKE, Fla. – Just like any big-name sports team celebrating a championship, the Lake Mary All-Stars went to Disney World.
Fresh off their Little League World Series title, Disney World announced Lake Mary players and coaches will be featured in a celebratory parade at the Magic Kingdom on Thursday, News4JAX sister station WKMG reports. The hometown team paraded down Main Street U.S.A. in front of thousands of Disney guests.
Lake Mary became the first team from Florida to win the Little League World Series after defeating Chinese Taipei 2-1 in a championship game on Sunday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
On Tuesday, the city of Lake Mary announced parade details for its upcoming Little League World Series championship celebration set for Saturday.
