Surfer dies after being pulled from water in Ponte Vedra Beach: Deputies

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A man died Thursday after he was pulled from the water with a surfboard attached to his leg in Ponte Vedra Beach, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he died.

No foul play is suspected, according to deputies.
