JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is putting a seven-year-old cold case back on the community’s radar as the department searches for answers to close the case.

The family of Maurice Hobbs has constantly been pushing for answers in the Southside Estates shooting that took his life just days after his 18th birthday on Jan. 26, 2017.

“I’ve been a fierce advocate for my son. I’ve stopped at nothing. I’ve never taken a break. Every day I fight for him, and I will for the rest of my life,” Latasha Hobbs said about her son to News4JAX in January.

JSO wants to provide those answers for Hobbs’ family but without any leads, no arrests have been made.
